Earthcare’s Irrigation Department is installing custom informational stickers inside the irrigation timer boxes of every customer whose irrigation system we maintain.

Each sticker identifies the location of the property’s irrigation zones, giving both our team and the customer a quick, clear reference when service is needed. This is especially helpful during storm preparation and remediation, as well as routine maintenance, repairs, and system adjustments.

By having this information readily available at the timer box, our technicians can work more efficiently and respond with greater accuracy—helping us better protect and maintain your landscape year-round.

HARDSCAPING: Enhance Your Property with Black Granite

Black granite decorative rock is a bold, beautiful way to refresh garden beds and give a property a more polished appearance. Its deep color creates strong contrast against green foliage, light-colored walkways, homes, and colorful flowers—helping every element of the landscape stand out.

In addition to its modern look, black granite is a durable, long-lasting alternative to traditional mulch. It helps define planting beds, covers exposed soil, and holds up well through Southwest Florida’s rain, irrigation, and changing weather conditions.

Earthcare Landscape Services recently installed black granite at the Antilles Community to create a clean, dramatic foundation throughout the landscape beds. To complete the enhancement, our team added bright new annuals, bringing fresh seasonal color and vibrant contrast against the dark stone.

The result is a landscape that feels clean, colorful, and thoughtfully designed from the moment residents and guests arrive.

TREE CARE SERVICES: When Termite Damage Turns into a Hazard

Termites are often associated with damage inside homes and buildings, but they can also cause serious problems outdoors. When termites infest palm trees or hardwoods, they may weaken the tree from the inside out—sometimes leaving little visible warning until the tree begins to split, lean, or fail altogether.

A termite-damaged tree can quickly become a safety concern at a residence, commercial property, HOA, or community entrance. Weak trunks and compromised root areas may lead to falling limbs, unstable palms, blocked driveways, damaged landscaping, or risk to nearby structures, vehicles, and people.

At Earthcare Landscape Services, our team can evaluate concerning palms and hardwood trees to help identify whether termite damage, decay, structural weakness, or another issue may be affecting the tree. We assess the condition of the tree, its location, and any potential hazards before recommending the next appropriate step.

When removal is necessary, Earthcare can safely remove damaged palms and hardwoods from residential and commercial properties. Our team handles the process from start to finish, including cutting down the compromised tree, removing debris, processing materials through our wood chipper, and grinding the remaining stump below ground level when requested.

Stump grinding helps create a cleaner, safer finished area while making room for future landscaping, sod, planting, or other property improvements. It also eliminates the visible reminder of a damaged tree and helps restore the appearance of the landscape.

If you notice a palm or hardwood tree that is leaning, splitting, losing large sections, showing signs of insect activity, or appears structurally compromised, it is important to have it evaluated promptly. Earthcare is here to help protect your property with professional tree evaluations, removals, cleanup, and stump grinding services.

SUMMER ANNUALS & FRESH SOD: A Great Time to Refresh Your Landscape

Summer is in full swing, and Earthcare is still planting beautiful summer annuals to bring vibrant color and seasonal interest to residential and commercial properties throughout Southwest Florida. Whether used to brighten an entryway, enhance a clubhouse, refresh a monument sign, or add curb appeal around a home, seasonal color is an easy way to give your landscape a polished, welcoming look.

Summer is also an excellent time to install new sod. With warm temperatures, longer days, and regular rainfall, sod has the ideal conditions to establish strong roots and transition into its new environment. Consistent moisture from the rainy season can help support healthy establishment, while the warm soil encourages active root growth.

Installing sod now can also help repair worn or thin areas before they become more noticeable, improve the overall appearance of your property, and create a lush, even lawn for the months ahead. Proper preparation, installation, irrigation, and follow-up care are all important to helping new sod thrive.

Whether your property needs a pop of seasonal color, a refreshed lawn, or both, Earthcare is here to help create a landscape that looks healthy, vibrant, and well cared for throughout the summer season.

Before & After

Shortly after the New Year, this customer in Olde Naples turned to Earthcare with a clear vision: to refresh and clean up their property. Our team has been proud to help bring that vision to life through consistent, detail-oriented landscape care that enhances the property’s overall appearance and keeps it looking polished throughout the season.

Before: This area of the property had a strong tropical foundation, with mature palms, established hedging, and plenty of natural privacy. However, the dense growth and lack of definition left an opportunity to open up the landscape, refine its shape, and create a cleaner, more intentional appearance.

During: During the cleanup process, Earthcare’s crew began opening up the overgrown landscape by removing dense, unwanted plant material and clearing the area around the existing palms. This stage of the project focused on creating a clean foundation, improving access, and preparing the space for a more refined, intentional landscape design.

After: The finished landscape now has a clean, polished, and intentional appearance. A row of neatly shaped trees creates structure, privacy, and visual height, while fresh low plantings soften the base of the bed. Dark mulch provides a crisp contrast against the greenery and helps define the newly refreshed landscape, giving the front of the property a more cohesive and well-maintained look.

FEATURED FLORIDA FOLIAGE: Queen Palms, Is Your Tree Ready?

Queen palms are one of the most popular landscape trees in Southwest Florida, prized for their graceful appearance and tropical beauty. However, they are also one of the palm species most vulnerable to failure during hurricanes and tropical storms.

Unlike many native palms, queen palms have a shallower root system and are more susceptible to toppling when strong winds combine with saturated soil. They can also develop hidden issues such as trunk decay, nutrient deficiencies, or disease that weaken the tree over time. From the outside, a queen palm may appear healthy—until severe weather reveals otherwise.

As hurricane season becomes more active, now is the ideal time to have your queen palms evaluated. A professional inspection can identify signs of decline, structural weakness, dead or hazardous fronds, and other concerns before they become safety hazards.

Earthcare Landscape Services offers comprehensive palm evaluations, pruning, removals, and stump grinding to help keep your property safe and storm-ready. Addressing potential issues before a storm arrives can help reduce the risk of fallen trees, property damage, and costly emergency cleanup.

Our Bright Feedback

TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE, CLIENT FOCUSED

I started working with Earthcare after my property was devastated by Hurricane Irma. I have enjoyed every moment. You have manicured my 2.5 acres weekly, sculpted my 400′ hedge, smoothed out the back yard with numerous installations of sod, maintained my irrigation system, and installed two beautiful water features that have given me tremendous pleasure…

A REALLY BIG THANK YOU
for helping with the garden dilemma. You responded so quickly to solve the problem, its amazing. I would be weeks waiting for the plans alone in the UK never mind the men to plant. It looks so much better already and when we get pots and the other 2 Bougies in I’m sure we will look, well if not perfect, certainly heading in the right direction.I will do what our Prince Charles does and talk to the Bougies to encourage them to reach the trellis. Your men were fantastic today working really quickly and they are so tidy!

The veterans Council of Collier County had a beautiful float representing all veterans.
We want to thank Sean [McGuinness] of Earthcare Landscape Services for donating his truck to be used as a float and setting up the chairs on the float and all of the flags and decorations. What a wonderful day – beautiful weather, loads of people and Mr. [McGuinness] being so giving…
